Preparing for Easter

Your Easter To Do List Is Here! We don't want to add ANYTHING extra to your plate for this weekend - we just want to be sure you're not missing anything from your list. 1. Send a reminder email to all of your volunteers. Not the typical "PLEASE be on time!" email, but a reminder of why you're doing what you're doing. "This Easter, we're making it as easy as possible for our guests to meet Jesus and get connected at our church." Cast vision so your volunteers can have that goal in mind before arriving this weekend. 2. Plan Your Announcements This weekend, plan all of your announcements to serve your Easter guests. Which events or opportunities would best help them get connected at your church? Maybe a membership class, a small group, or mid-week student ministry service. 3. Triple check and comminicate logistics If you have a dance presentation, check that their rehearsal isn't going to conflict with your worship team's sound check on Sunday morning. If you have a special drama, be sure to communicate how and when that will happen during your service, where props will be kept, and how your team will transition from the placement of their set or props to the message. If you're handing out a gift for new visitors, be sure your volunteers know where they are and how to get more if needed. 4. Invite guests back: Talk about next week's sermon series Just like a movie trailer, give a taste of what to expect from next weekends message or sermon series so your guests have a reason to plan to come back. Follow up with your guests by requesting their email address or phone number (via connection card or a sign up at your information center) and send them out a personal message on Monday thanking them for visiting and another message next Friday inviting them back. 5. PRAY for your guests and your team This one goes without saying, but sometimes we get busy with prepation. Be praying that everyone at your church - whether a volunteering member or a guest - gets to grow closer with Jesus and more connected with your church. Our Church Banners team appreciates the opportunity to serve you and your church and lwe ook forward to continuing to serve you. If there's any way we can help, email us at support@churchbanners.com! Praying for your church and community this Easter. - Kenten Waldrum and the Church Banners team |
