What are your light pole banners made from? +
Our light pole banners are printed on 13 oz matte vinyl designed for outdoor display. The banners are constructed for double-sided use and installed between upper and lower mounting arms to keep the banner stretched vertically along the pole. Proper tension is especially important because it helps prevent unnecessary movement and wear from the wind.
Will your light pole banner hardware fit square and round poles? +
Yes. Our light pole banner hardware can be installed on both square and round poles. The included mounting straps will fit around poles up to approximately 11 inches in diameter. For larger poles, such as some wooden utility-style poles, longer mounting straps may be required. The banner hardware itself can still be used; you'll simply need straps long enough to fit securely around the larger pole.
Are light pole banners printed on both sides? +
Yes. Our light pole banners are double-sided. The design you select will normally be printed on both the front and back, or you can customize the two sides with different artwork, wording or messages at no additional cost. For example, one side could say Welcome while the other promotes Kids Check-In, an upcoming event or another message appropriate for people approaching from the opposite direction.
What size light pole banner should our church choose? +
The best size depends on the height of the pole and how far away people will be when viewing the banner. For smaller poles in pedestrian areas, town squares or along sidewalks, we generally recommend 18" x 36" or 24" x 36" because people will be walking close to the banners. For church parking lots, where banners are mounted higher above parked cars and viewed from farther away, 24" x 60" (2' x 5') is our most common size. Larger 2' x 6' or 2' x 8' banners may work better on very large or tall poles where the audience will be viewing the banners from a greater distance.
How long will a vinyl light pole banner last outdoors? +
The lifespan of a light pole banner depends on weather, location and, importantly, how well the banner is installed and maintained. On average, we see properly installed light pole banners last approximately 6 months to a year. The banner should be installed straight and taut between the mounting arms. If the hardware moves and allows the banner to curve outward like a sail, the loose vinyl can begin flapping in the wind and wear much more quickly. For banners that remain outside year-round, such as a general Welcome design, we recommend checking them about once a month. Make sure the hardware remains secure and the banner is still hanging straight and tight. Proper installation and occasional adjustment can make a significant difference in how long your banner lasts.
Can I customize your light pole banner designs with our church logo and wording? +
Yes. Our light pole banner designs can be customized with your church name, logo, colors, wording and other design changes at no additional design charge. After ordering, our design team will prepare a proof showing your requested changes. You'll be able to review the customized design and request revisions before approving it for production. Because the banners are double-sided, you can also request different artwork or messages on the front and back at no additional charge.
