Christmas Light Pole Banners for Church: Designs, Sizes and Hardware
Posted by ChurchBanners.com on 7th Oct 2026
Light pole banners are one of the easiest ways to make your whole campus look like Christmas. A row of matching banners down the drive and across the parking lot welcomes families to Christmas Eve services, children's programs and every Sunday of Advent. Here's how to choose designs, sizes and hardware, and when to order so they're up in time.

Choose a Message
Light pole banners are read from a car, so short messages work best. Popular Christmas designs in our Christmas light pole banners collection include:
- Joy to the World, Joy, Noel and Hope
- Welcome and Worship With Us, to invite guests
- Come Adore Him, O Holy Night and Light of the World
- Merry Christmas and Celebrate Christmas
Build a Matching Set
A series of banners in one design tells a story as guests drive in. The red and gold angel series comes in four messages:
- Joy to the World (NXM059-1 R)
- Lord Is Come (NXM059-2 R)
- Savior Is Born (NXM059-3 R)
- He Is Christ the Lord (NXM059-4 R)
The same angel artwork is available as a Merry Christmas backdrop (NXM059 R), so your parking lot and your Christmas photo booth can match.
Sizes and Specs
- Sizes: 18" x 36", 18" x 48", 24" x 36", 24" x 48", 24" x 60" (most popular), 24" x 72" and 24" x 96"
- Material: outdoor matte vinyl
- Printing: double sided, so the banner reads coming and going
- Finishing: pole pockets sewn top and bottom
- Price: Joy to the World (NXM059-1 R) starts at $59
- Design: free customization with your church name, service times or logo
Hardware
Light pole banners can be ordered banner-only or with a hardware kit. Our BS008 light pole hardware kit is $79 and comes in 18", 24" and 30" sizes. Match the kit to your banner's width: an 18" kit for 18"-wide banners and a 24" kit for 24"-wide banners. The banner hangs between an upper and a lower arm, off to one side of the pole.
If your poles already have brackets from a fall or summer set, you only need the banners. Slide the new banners onto the existing arms and your campus is ready for Christmas.
Tips for Installation
- Mount them high. Keep the banner well above car and foot traffic.
- Keep the banner taut. Install it straight between the arms so it doesn't curve out like a sail and flap in the wind.
- Face the same direction. On a row of poles, hang every banner on the same side so the set lines up.
When to Order
Advent begins Sunday, November 29, and Christmas Eve is Thursday, December 24. Most churches want their Christmas light pole banners up by the first Sunday of Advent. We'll send a free proof within one business day, production is 2 days from approval, and FedEx Ground shipping takes 3–5 business days to the lower 48 states. Ordering by mid-November gets them up for Advent.
